The first international conference bringing together the disciplines of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps (RACHP) to encourage the flow of ideas between the two fields. It provided a forum to discuss the shared environmental challenges being faced, the solutions being proposed and the difficulties in choosing the most efficient working fluids.
Over three days, with an anticipated 120 papers, delegates explored research and developments in the closely related fields of power cycles, working fluids, and RACHP applications. They took away insights into new opportunities to deliver efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
The Conference was timed to coincide with the bi-centenary of the birth of William Rankine and also marked the legacy of WJM Rankine whose name is now synonymous with power generation cycles.
